The Inga family tradition, in the field of premium production of liquors and spirits, originated in 1832 in Noto, Sicily. Years of experience led to the founding in 1930 of the first plant in Piedmont, by Gaetano Inga, who decided to revive the ancient Amaro Gambarotta while, in the Seventies, they began producing grappa of the famous Libarna brand. Today, the rich family tradition is carried on by the brothers, Federico and Lorenzo Inga, entrepreneurs and manufacturers of premium liquors, including the outstanding, exclusive brand of distilled gin with Mediterranean flavour, Panarea Gin. The use of ancient techniques, together with the selection of premium botanicals, such as juniper and myrtle from Panarea as well as citrus, make the aroma of these traditional liquors totally different from that of similar products, such as London Dry Gins. Panarea Gin is, in fact, a real tribute to the Sicilian roots of the Inga family, as well as a way to celebrate the beauty and charm of the Island of Panarea, the ‘Queen’ of the Mediterranean.
Our history
TRADITION AND EXCELLENCE
What the Inga family does is not only a profession, but a passion, carried out with dedication and respect for tradition: over 150 years of experience in producing liquors and spirits, which today are found in the two most exclusive products, Panarea Gins. The entire process follows a precise order and is carefully supervised to ensure a premium product. The ingredients used are precious botanicals, selected with great skill by real experts: coriander and myrtle from Panarea, Sicilian citrus, and juniper distillate, which help to create a unique, one-of-a-kind flavour, which goes well with the more traditional recipes and is perfect even on its own. After a long phase of tests and trials, the company presented Panarea Gin in 2016, unique in both its taste and its packaging, which was immediately classified as a distilled gin for connoisseurs.
